Mark Schmitz, principal and creative director of ZEBRADOG in Madison, was awarded the 2009 Wisconsin Technical College Boards Association Distinguished Alumni Award.

Schmitz graduated from the College in 1986 with an associate degree in commercial art.

His design firm worked on the renovations of both Camp Randall Stadium and Lambeau Field, and Schmitz worked with Madison College students last spring to create a video of Frank Lloyd Wright's Spring Green home, Taliesin, for the 50th anniversary celebration of the Wright-designed Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
